Leadership Initiatives welcomes and appreciates all efforts by volunteers. We accept interns for academic credit through their universities or high schools, and a limited number of federal work study students. Interns and general volunteers may choose the organizational area they wish to develop. Leadership Initiatives volunteers have the passion and drive to change the world. They recognize their unique potential and strive to make a difference by using their individual talents.
How can I get involved?
Prospective volunteers are encouraged to contact us; please use the space below to tell us a bit about why you're interested and to briefly describe your skills and experiences; this helps us to better match volunteers with our various programs. We are very much in need of volunteers who have excellent writing skills and who have experience providing guidance counseling in a school environment. Whatever your skills are, they are valuable to us!
Virtual Volunteering
"Virtual volunteering" is an option that allows for exceptional convenience and scheduling flexibility. It allows people to use their computers to volunteer from work or home whenever their schedules allow. It provides an opportunity to:
*Participate in fund raising and community programs
*Expand writing and editing skills
*Develop and enhance skills such as web design and layout.
